With striking, strong, dark-green ribbing against a brighter green background, the Hoya Callistophylla is all-time favourite hoya for hoya-holics, hobyists, collectors, and regular folk-alike!
Water: Allow soil to dry out between deep watering's. Ensure that all excess water is able to drain away, and that plant isn't sitting in standing water, as this may lead to rot.
Light: The Hoya Callistophylla thrives best in bright, indirect light. The more light, the more variegation and colour on the leaves.
Soil: Does best in a well draining, tropical potting soil. One containing bark, moss, and vermiculite is ideal.
Humidity: Hoya's can tolerate standard humidity levels, but thrive in higher humidity. They will definitely benefit from a daily misting or being placed on a pebble tray.
Fertilizer: Fertilize your hoyas once a month using a dilute solution of liquid houseplant fertilizer. Do not fertilize in winter months.
Note: These plants are good climbers! Provide a totem pole or climbing fence. They can also be kept as a trailing plant.
