Dragon Fruit cactus features soft, fleshy "fingers" whose ridges are covered in relatively soft spines. They're not overly pointy/picky, and are almost like short cat whiskers.
- This is one cactus which goes by many names, including: Pitahaya, White-fleshed Pitahaya, Moonlight Cinderella Plant, Night-Blooming Cereus, Strawberry Pear, and Belle of the Night.
- Prefers bright, indirect light to light shade
- Dragon Fruit cacti require a bit more water than other cacti, and so should be watered when the soil is dry to the touch (around every 2 weeks during its growing period).
- Water thoroughly, allowing the water to drain out completely Keep out of drafts
Point of Interest: Last year we received this plant in its 2.5" size amongst a random assortment of other cacti, but it hadn't been labeled or named by the growers. For lack of a better idea, we named it "Pokey Many Fingers", but we now know that it's a dragon fruit!
