Philodendron Imperial Red is a gorgeous plant whose leaves mature to a glossy reddish-brown as they age.
Water: Allow top 2/3 of soil to dry out between moderate waterings. Do not allow plant to sit in standing water, as this may lead to rot.
Light: Philodendrons love bright, indirect sunlight. The more light they receive, the better they will grow.
Soil: Use a well draining potting mix. One containing peat, bark, sphagnum moss, and perlite is ideal.
Humidity: Requires regular humidity levels. If your house is dry and you notice browning tips, mist occasionally.
Fertilizer: fertilize once a month using a balanced, water soluble tropical fertilizer. Do not fertilize over winter months.
