Also known as a "large-leaf variegated philodendron", the Jose Buono philodendron is a rare, but beautiful houseplant which features long, dark-green leaves and splashes of white, yellow, and cream-coloured variegation.
This listing is for this exact plant, so what you see is what you'll get.
Water: Water moderately after top inch of soil has dried out. Allow any excess water to drain away. Water less in winter.
Light: Like all philodendrons, the Jose Buono loves lots of bright, indirect sunlight. The more light, the more growth.
Soil: A well draining potting mix is recommended. One containing peat, bark, sphagnum moss, and perlite is ideal.
Humidity: This plant is a lover of humidity. Keep in a bathroom, on a pebble tray, or near a humidifier, and mist often.
Fertilizer: Fertilize once a month using a water soluble houseplant fertilizer. Do not fertilize over winter months.
Tip: This rare houseplant is a climber! If you give it a climbing pole or frame, it will help the plant to grow (and keep on growing).
