Philodendron Micans are a popular little aroid thanks to their leaves, and how they change colour according to lighting conditions with the leaves becoming more pinkish/copper-coloured as they grow and are exposed to bright, indirect light.
Water: Allow top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Drooping leaves is also indicative your plant is in need of a water. Water less in winter months.
Light: Requires lots of bright, indirect sunlight. This plant has a tendency to "reach" towards light, so rotate it often to avoid a lopsided plant.
Soil: Use a well loose, well draining potting soil.
Humidity: Micans enjoy higher levels of humidity. Keep on a pebble tray or near a humidifier, and mist often for best results.
Fertilizer: Fertilize once a month throughout growing season with a water soluble houseplant fertilizer. Do not fertilize over winter months.
NOTE: Every plant is unique, and the one Micans pictured is an average representation of the Micans we have in stock. Stem size, leaf number, and leaf size/colouration will vary from plant to plant, but each plant will be fully rooted.
