Air Plants: The amazing trendy plant companion which doesn't need to be planted in order to survive (and thrive). Despite popular opinion, Air Plants do need more than air to survive! Air plants require both air AND water to stay happy and healthy.
Water: Your air plants should be soaked for 10-15 minutes once a week (may be more or less depending on amount of sun it receives, temperature, humidity, etc.) Soak for a good 2 hours once a month.
Light: These plants thrive with plenty of bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as this may lead to burn.
Soil: Don't worry about this one, they are called air plants for a reason.
Humidity: If your house is on the drier side, mist your air plants regularly to keep them happy.
Fertilizer: Fertilizer is not necessary for air plants. If you are to fertilize, use a low nitrogen and low copper fertilizer, as air plants are hyper-sensitive to these.
