Shipping policy

1. Shipping Costs

Rice Road Greenhouses charges a flat shipping fee for shipments made within most provinces in Canada. The cost for said flat-rate shipping will change depending on season (i.e. Winter shipping costs more than shipping during the summer, as winter shipping requires heating packs and additional insulation). Additional cost may occur should the buyer specifically request to purchase an oversized, or normally unshippable item through the webstore. In addition, additional cost may occur should the customer request that we secure a specific shipping company, or specific shipping time. Payment for shipping will be collected with the purchase. This price will be the final price for shipping cost to the customer.

2. Delivery/Shipping Terms

2.1 Local Delivery

Local deliveries occur daily (Sundays excluded), and paid delivery orders will be delivered by a Rice Road Employee between 9am and 5pm on the delivery date.

2.2 PlantRunz Delivery

PlantRunz is an service which is near and dear to our heart, as it is a plant delivery service run by a great pair of people who love plants, and who take extra care when delivering. 

To go into greater detail, PlantRunz is an external delivery service which delivers plants, and plant-related orders throughout the GTA an beyond. They tend to visit our greenhouse, as well as others in the area, once a week, delivering orders and plants as they go. 2.3 Transit Time Domestically

In general, domestic shipments are in transit for 1 – 10 business days

2.4 Dispatch Time

Orders are dispatched on Mondays and Tuesdays. Should a Holiday fall on a Monday, then shipments will go out the following Tuesday.

Orders must be received by Friday in order to qualify to be shipped on the following Monday/Tuesday.

If possible, we will try to also include orders made on Saturday/Sunday/Monday for the following shipment, however this will depend on whether we have enough time to do so, and cannot be guaranteed.

2.5 Change Of Delivery Address

For change of delivery address requests, we are able to change the address at any time before the order has been dispatched.  Should an address need to be changed after dispatch, please email us at info@millionplants.com, as some shipping companies charge extra for correcting addresses.

2.6 P.O. Box Shipping

Rice Road Greenhouses and Garden Centre cannot ship to P.O. box addresses. We are unable to offer couriers services to these locations.

2.7 Items Out Of Stock

If an item is out of stock, we will endeavor to email the customer to see if a replacement or substitution would be possible. If contact cannot be made, we will cancel and refund the out-of-stock items and dispatch the rest of the order.
If possible, we will substitute an item of greater value at no extra cost, or an item of lesser value with a refund being issued for the difference paid.

2.8 Delivery Time Exceeded

If delivery time has exceeded the forecasted time, please contact us so that we may conduct an investigation.
